Cabinet Studio Jewellery Arrives @SOBOYE

Midnight Panel Necklace-Pearl & Diamante on Cord. Tassel necklace by Susan O
CABINET was formed by Gemma Critchley and Zara Braganca in 2008.
After Graduating from Textile Design at the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design in 2005, Gemma & Zara spent time freelancing and undertook contracts for International Textiles Magazine, Premier Vision (Paris) and TrendStop Forecasting (London) amongst others.
There ethos is to use time honoured techniques combined with innovative thinking, each piece individually created, layered and embellished to form an entirely unique piece. By mixing different styles and materials, each piece unites flavours from across the globe, producing creations that are beautiful, eclectic and unique.
Exploring the relationship between products that have both functional and luxury elements entwined has helped to accentuate the collections free spirited and individual nature. Sourcing from bygone eras to reveal precious findings, little pieces of luxury with intrinsic value, something with a past and now a new presence, provides an exciting platform for developing highly individual, sustainable creations. Hours are spent sourcing rare and unusual resources which form the roots of each piece. Exquisite detailing and careful execution of colour gives lead to the creation of tactile, comfortable pieces with a contemporary edge.

I have always loved good fashion illustration and CABINET have used it to great effect by commissioning Sandra Jawad to do their current lookbook, an expample of which is pictured below and further enhances the brands love all things eclectic.
